@gorlak when you get a chance, I've been thinking you should look to do this in the existing code and not wait for the backbone switch. It's worth getting a little familiar with what's there already.

@andyburke I wasn't planning on waiting for any other change to hit before starting in on this, I have just been crazy busy lately.
