Hello. Is the project still alive? After launching dmg I'm getting "Eschalon Utils quit unexpectedly." error. Attaching the report.

Howdy! The project itself is semi-dormant, though we had a user swing by a few months ago who went through a pretty furious editing phase hacking on the thing again. I do certainly care about issues like this, regardless!

Unfortunately OSX is one of the biggest gaps in my ability to help for this kind of thing. If you're willing to spend a bit more work on it, it's possible that building up a dev environment might give you more luck than the .dmg... That was generated a number of OSX versions ago, and I guess it doesn't surprise me that it might have problems.

There's some instructions on doing the dev environment thing both in the project's main README, and at http://apocalyptech.com/eschalon/installation.php - as with the dmg, I'm pretty much at the mercy of user reports to find out if that stuff works, so if you wouldn't mind letting me know one way or the other, I'd appreciate it.

I did the building of macOS binaries for this, but it was always a bit of a hack. I'm not at all surprised that they no longer work.

Just running the app on macOS should be pretty easy per the instructions in the README. If you try and run into any trouble please let us know.

hey! I'm that user that did a bunch of hacking.

I primarily use macOS for a personal laptop so I'm fairly confident that it can run. However, I run from master. It shouldn't be hard to build and test the macOS packages though.

What happens when you run

python3.7 setup.py py2app
∴./dist/eschalon_utils.app/Contents/MacOS/eschalon_utils
