empty edit box when typing with RtL languages #152

I use the MacOS version of the latest release, and everything is perfect except that I don't see what I'm typing in Arabic in the main edit box, it shows in the "Show Original" box, but not in the main one It only shows when there's a tag before the line, and even then if the line is too long or if there's two lines, the text gets jumbled as shown in the picture. The subtitle shows on the video and if the file is opened on a video player, it's only hidden in the main edit box. I use {} before each line as a temporary solution, but as I mentioned not all lines will show clearly so it's making editing the lines and fixing mistakes much harder.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue?

This likely is another aspect of wxScientilla’s text layout issues. As a workaround until wxScientilla improves its text handling wangqr/Aegisub added an option to use a simple native textbox instead, see: https://github.com/wangqr/Aegisub/issues/80. Afaik this workaround currently doesn’t exist here though (and wangqr/Aegisub doesn’t appear maintained anymore).

I've already tried wangqr version for the simple native textbook but the program itself kept crashing every few minutes and there were problems with sound where it doesn't load fully and crashes when I try to do anything like removing it or adding another file in place, I guess the problem with it is that it's supposed to work with x64 version of mac, whereas mine isn't. I don't mind flipping the places of the punctuation if this is what's causing the problem, I just want to see what I'm writing.
