Display the number of items currently marked for submission #167

When I go through items, I sometimes unintentionally leave things marked - I may forget turning off items marked by default, or I may fail to click precisely when I try to unmark a large group that I have marked. If the number of marked item is displayed somewhere prominently (a hovering box on the upper right corner, for example), that will help me correcting mistakes before submitting.

Hi @whym this is a good suggestion; I've been reluctant to add more javascript-dependent features like this but it's probably time to start looking into this sort of thing seriously. Thanks for the idea!
