spurious <p> and </p> tags rendered #17

Hi

Am new user and also new to Latex. Did a simple test of [latex] {\color{red}fire} [/latex]

which renders as

fire

fire is in red as required. WordPress 5.0.3

Thanks.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Okay read the < /br> issue, this is same, solved by putting everything in one line as [latex] {\color{red}fire}[/latex]

Maybe should add a note somewhere or give simple usage examples. Closing.
