New LOGO for Assemblits Organization #64

We just changed the name of the organization, so we need a new logo. I have been thinking about and asked to Marcos to see if there is way he can help us... He said yes, so I created this issue to collect some ideas...

Rafael did suggest something like this: rainbow But without the rainbow color and change the circles by ones and zeros...

I said it would be nice to have a block in the logo, to represent the Assembling part of the name... assemblits2

So, the main idea is to have something that is focused on the name: Assembling Bits

My proposal comes from an Assembly like structure (like a senate Assembly) where all the presents are bit :)

What is the history of your company? This is a brand new organization. Starting with the main idea of create software for automation and robotic devices.

Why do you decide to set up this type of business? This organization is created using the philosophy of the open software contributions and evolution.

What is the strength of your company or product? The programmers skills.

What are the goals you want to achieve with your company or product? To build a wide used software.

Describe your products or services:

  1. Eru: The main software, used to connect to devices and display modern human machine interfaces (HMI).
  2. Device-simulator: Software to simulate devices using modbus protocol.
  3. Dynamo: Library of dynamic components to be displayed in the HMI.

Define in a single sentence your company or product: Assembling bits.

Would you like to see some "tagline" reflected in the brand? Not really... Seems like a question to be discussed.

PUBLIC OBJECTIVE: What is the target audience of your company or product? Nerds and engineers.

In what age range is your target audience? 25-60.

How would you like to be perceived by your target audience? As an open organization with high level engineers.

Why would your target audience buy your product or service? It's FREE

Calculate approximately the percentage of your target audience that belongs to the following categories with respect to your aesthetic criteria:

Classics:25% Modern:50% Unknown:25%

COMPETENCE: Who are your main competitors? SCADA builders: Indusoft, FactoryTalk, Ignition Inductive Automation, etc.

What are your advantages over the competition? Our product is free.

What are its disadvantages with regard to competition? Few programmers.

Is there a competitor you admire? What is it and why? Ignition: Inductive Automation. They have linux compatiblity.

PREVIOUS AND FUTURE STRATEGIES: Have you had any bad experiences with your current image? Why? We do not have logo or images.

What can affect the success of your company or product? Programmers life.

Do you have plans to expand your company or develop new products in the short term? Which? Not really.. Just to finish eru by now.
