Duplicate stopped working #163

It worked for like a day for me. I need to output stereo mix+microphone through my PC's (windows 7) HDMI output to my laptop for streaming. I need to route the specific game's audio to my headphones or I have to play "deaf", it's either that or hearing myself since the only way I have to make it work is setting the microphone to making it audible, when I try to route it independently by sending it to the HDMI output, the quality was lowered considerably.

So now duplicating only reroutes to whatever output I choose but removes it from the default output, ergo: it doesn't duplicate it, it just moves it. I tried chevolume and it crashes endlessly. Granted, I'm in an old, offline win7 PC. But there must be a way to make this work, right? It worked once, and then (probably) I messed it up by trying to install vb-audio virtual cable because someone told me I needed it. Uninstalling and restoring the system didn't fix it. Halp.
