0x000000005 access denied #83

I tried to duplicate my Rainbow 6 Siege audio to a virtual audio cable but i got this error. I also got this when I tried to duplicate my Fortnite audio. Every other program works, except for games.

I've got the exact same issue with Siege. So I just worked in reverse and set the default device as the headphones and everything else manually to the external speakers for music and whatnot.

Not really a fix, but a temp workaround.

I just realized i had installed the wrong version, i was using the 32x version instead of the other one, make sure to check that you didnt make the same mistake i did lol

I guess this is denied by Battleye anti-cheat, which may treat routing operation as "cheat". The same error appears in PUBG (using Battleye too) both.

So you can change the default device using system-tray audio icon to which device you want route, and start your game, then switch default audio device back.
