Recipe App - Ruby on Rails

The Recipe app is a classic example of a recipe application that is fully functional webapp. It includes the list of recipe created by Users and allow users interact with them.

Prerequisites

- Ruby installed on local system
- npm ( Node Package Manager )
- Git and Github Account

Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

• Open terminal

• Change to the desired directory then run the following:

  • run git clone git@github.com:awaisanwar544/recipe-app.git
  • cd recipe-app
  • git switch dev
  • run bundle install
  • run rails db:create
  • run rails db:migrate

    Running the Application

    *Steps to excute the app locally

• Run rails c in the console at working directory.
• Run rails s in the the browser on local server.

Running the Tests

*Steps to excute the app locally

• Run rspec in the terminal to run the tests.
• Make sure you have latest version of Rails installed
