thanks a lot for your contribution! i believe the README already has a note on getting the GUI running with the simulation application and i don't see a lot of value in pushing this change through.

that being said, i am happy to adding a note regarding setting the DISPLAY variable appropriately in case GUI does not show up. please take a look here (https://github.com/aws-robotics/aws-robomaker-sample-application-helloworld/pull/149).

please feel free to open this PR if you feel so for appropriate reasons.
