The issue of GPU acceleration on macos11 at 2160x1440 resolution #27

At a resolution of 2160x1440 on Macos11.6.1, some software may exhibit issues of blurring and tearing when using GPU acceleration。Is there any solution?

No unfortunately there is not a way to fix this. This issue was common for this generation of Intel computers using the haswell graphics in macOS.

You should adjust to a different resolution and see if the issue improves. Generally choosing smaller resolutions improve this issue though that is not always the case.

Not sure if you're using the i7 chipset but it does tend to be a little more problematic than the i5.

My version is the i5 4G version, and when I adjusted it to 1600x1200, it returned to normal. However, the screen was very blurry. I browsed through some closed issues and found a situation similar to mine, "VSC Glitch # 21". I saw that you described that installing macos12 and above would solve this problem, but when I installed macos12.6.1, the problem still persisted. What version of 12 did you install at that time

@shengjing19 So I re-read the vsc glitch issue and it's mostly the same as yours.

That said you stated you are using the 4g ram SP3 and so please make sure you are using the 4gb config which should hopefully help a little.

It is entirely possible that your hardware is different than the i5 and so if you are able, you can copy the previous graphics patch from the version you said did work to the latest config and see if that works. Be sure to delete the one in my config or you won't be able to boot.

If this works I can create an i3 version of the config with the graphics identifier that works.

@shengjing19 You might also want to try my HiDPI patch in the Quirks & Fixes chapter linked on my main page. This might enable HiDPI capability [doesnt work on all devices]. If it does enable it, you might have some luck avoiding the blur when reducing the resolution.
