This file caught my attention when searching for more occurrences of the ovjectOverrideFont misspelling. A visual inspection indicates it is redundant to battle_list_window.lua, and testing the multiplayer zones of chobby show no difference to me with the file deleted. It seems to not be used at all.
I think this is the way it is because of matchmaking from zero-k, and while I'm not committing to implementing it in BAR chobby i'm not going to do anything that would make it more difficult.
