I myself keep missing this and thinking the UI is stuck when it's simply doing an Ajax request :)
Not urgent but would be nice.
Update: I initially wanted to make the spinner icon more visible, but couldn't really figure out how to nicely do that in the UI. Then I realized that a better way to ensure the user realizes a query is going on is to disable the select box. So that is what I have done now.
