Same in Lepton's photon style.
I can reproduce it too. Maybe Mozilla did some changes to sidebar's CSS. (And it is so annoying)
The structure has been changed from the panel menu to a regular menu. Now, fixed!!
The latest commit fixed the missing icons, but the padding is too close than the extension that can utilize the use of sidebars, such as Tree Style Tab:
