Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

To decide whether or not to start or stop charging, it would be helpful to know the state of charge (SoC). If I am not mistaken, the chargingpoint should technically be able to retrieve this information from the electric vehicle.

Hi Thijs,

State of Charge of a battery is currently only possible with DC (fast) chargers (at large scale). There is a protocol available to read the SoC for AC chargers, the ISO-15118 interface. This has to be implemented both in the charging station as well as the car. A few cars currently have this implemented ,but hardly any charging station is ready for this.

Our new controller is coming out this year, which is ISO-15118 prepared, but it is not yet operational.
