Can't apply overlays to categories with special characters #124

I'm trying to apply overlays by categories created through Emulators and things like "Genesis/Mega Drive" or custom categories like "(SD) Playable" or "(SD) Crash" but I can't seem to make it work. Tried to give the cover file a name with unicode but it didn't do the trick : \u0028SD\u0029 Crash.cover.png

I'm on Linux (SteamDeck), any idea how I can make it see the categories?

For a strange reason it seems my shared_config.vsf file doesn't include all the categories change, I'm looking how I can force it to update and reflect them

I'm having a similar issue, though this particular category doesn't have any special characters. Did you get to the bottom of it?

I sort of fixed this by renaming the categories, creating new categories with the old name, restarting the steam deck, running the script and then restarting steam. And both categories were updated lol. Deleted the old one and now it's fine. Horrible workaround :P
