LOBE is a recording client made specifically for TTS data collections. It supports multiple collections, single and multi-speaker, and can prompt sentences based on phonetic coverage.
We would like to offer possible participants to submit voice samples via LOBE.
Basic workflow:
A possible participant gets in touch with us via email
We add their email to a list in LOBE of possible participants (security)
We notify the user that they can now submit voice samples
The user visits e.g. lobe.is/submit
The user inputs their email and we verify that the email is on the candidate list
The user records a finite list of sentences
The user submits the samples
At this point the user will not be able to submit any further samples (security)
We listen to samples and get in touch with the possible participant
Additional features:
We would like to control which sentences are read by the participant and how many (hence the list of sentences shouldn't be static) This would require a new database model, called e.g. "CandidateSentences"
A view for seeing recording status of all participants.
A view for listening to voice samples of a participant
We would like to offer possible participants to submit voice samples via LOBE.
