Hi.
About r3972:
Instead of SCED_52436 the GameIndex.dbf has SCES-52436 as Serial for
"PlayStation2 UK demo 7-2004". I don't know if this makes any difference.

they also need the game id to the game (ie; SLES-54569, SLUS-21890) just the
game and region can't help them since there is no way for the emulator to look
it up.

Could you confirm if Primal NTSC-U still needs patches? PAL one doesn't seem to.

Primal PAL UK\Scandinavia can now be runed without patch (r4054-emucr).

Yea primal ntsc doesn't seem to need the patch anymore, I tested a few of the
loading screens where it would usually lockup and so far so good.

How about having official cheats in GameIndex.dbf?
---------------------------------------------
Serial = SLES-52187
Name = Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance 2
Region = PAL-Unk
Compat = 4
// Official cheat 1: warp & invunerablilty menu
// L1 + R1 + Triangle + Square + Circle + Cross + Start
// Official cheat 2: up\down to Level 10, 500000 gold & 45 skill points
// L1 + R1 + Triangle + Square + Circle + Cross + L2
---------------------------------------------
Furthermore I suggest you change the "Compat" to 3,
since I for one can't get into the game; it jams either on intro or on menu.
The same is true for "SLES-50672" - "Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance",
which in some previous revisions did get into the game; a regression?
Original comment by pg...@yahoo.se

The games never worked, nor has any game which uses the dark alliance engine
(Fallout brotherhood of steel, champions of Norrath etc). In all of them you
get split screen issues (only half of the screen displayed) and freezes during
videos.
Original comment by jfre1...@gmail.com
on 26 Nov 2010 at 10:22
IF it's the same as justice league heroes, the videos works with EE timing hack
and half screen works with software renderer in GSdx, but again only if it's
the same problem and then it should still be ingame :p
Original comment by shadowladyngemu@gmail.com
on 26 Nov 2010 at 10:48
Hit start fast enough to skip the fmv and you get ingame in Baldurs Gate Dark
Alliance.

EE timing hack is also required for FF10 video to play properly (in addition to
FFX video hack), which may be better to be added to gameindex

FFX is kinda special. We're looking into it separately for the next release.
Original comment by ramapcsx2

PCSX2 can't find GameIndex.dbf when used in portable mode if a new version
of PCSX2 with a new name and\or a new location is used.
It displayes an old path, and doesn't check the folder
in which PCSX2 it self is located.
This is a problem (for me) on r4586 (EMUCR).
I can't find a way to alter the search path i the PCSX2 configuration
or in the inis files.
Any comments?

Had the same problem... Win7 64-bit ... (probably other Windows versions)
Found it - the path is in registry - HKCU\SOFTWARE\PCSX2 ...
Hope this helps ...

Small update:
Serial = SLES-51818
Name = Final Fantasy X-2
Region = PAL-Unk
It's the Italian version, so PAL-I.
In addition:
Serial = SLES-54087
Name = Suikoden V
Region = PAL-Unk
The game is multi 5, i have this code on the Italian version, but should be
PAL-M5. And the game is fully playable, some garbage on screen in hardware 3x
settings, but I started and ended the game with PCSX2 without problems, apart 1
crash, not reproducible. So it should be Compat = 5
Original comment by lkm...@gmail.com

If PAL-M5 is the regioncode for discs that supoorts (at least) english, french,
german, spanish and italian,
then it's resonable to assume that these discs are PAL-M5:
SLES-52384
SLES-53825
Does it make any difference?
"lkm...@gmail", about SLES-51818:
If you have this disc, temporary remove the memcards folder and launch the game.
If a menu shows up asking you to choose between english, french, german, spanish or italian,
then it's resonable to assume that the region is PAL-M5, not PAL-I.
Suffer well.

It is MULTI-5, i wrote should because I don't know if it has been released in
other nations with another code, but the disc itself is surely multi5, on
starting there's always the language selection screen :)

According to sonyindex.com "SLES-53357" == "Colosseum - Road to Freedom":
http://sonyindex.com/Pages/SLES-53357.htm.
However, according to all other websites "SLES-53357" == "21 Card Games".
Do you have this disc yourself?
