I made a swedish translationcandidate for r4066.
Can't figure out how to test it though.
Anyway, here it is:

I merged the content of the Tertiary and the Devel files into Main,
and removed the .mo and .po of of the Tertiary and the Devel files.
This is what you refered to - yes?
PCSX2 accepts the new Main, and doesn't give any warning about anything.
As far as I can tell, all entries are working,
however, when trying to update the Main file POEdit finds the entries from
the Tertiary and the Devel files obsolete.
Cya.

Nop. You must get the latest pot from trunk and update it (I hope rebase your
po against the new pot work). In your old po keyword entries are wrong so
poedit is completely lost.

Well actually I forgot them too :p See r4715 for the good version.

Why is POEdit lost when PCSX2 isn't?
"The latest pot" - referes that to 0.9.8.4560,
and if not, what is the download address?
How do I transfer the translation into these pot files?
 - I am not doing this manually!
Shall I merge the content of the Tertiary and the Devel files into Main or not?

Can you download a svn repository in your PC? You can use svn tortoise on
windows (never use myself use google for the manual). On linux you use this
command directly
svn checkout http://pcsx2.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ pcsx2-read-only

You must ask the tool to update to latest rev each time you want the latest
version.

The latest pot will be in $REPOSITORY/locales/templates.

<hr>
Another possibility is to browse the repository here
http://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Flocales%2Ftemplates

Anyway, poedit needs to know some keywords to understand that the string need
to be translated. Look at the beginning of the po file, you need to update this
entry : X-Poedit-KeywordsList with the latest pot (svn trunk)

Im familiar with Tortoise and SVN and catalog update...
The files in "locales" are .po files, not .pot...
In the Devel file X-Poedit-KeywordsList == "pxE_dev;pxDt\n"
In the Iconized file X-Poedit-KeywordsList == "pxE;pxExpandMsg\n"
In the Main file X-Poedit-KeywordsList == "_;pxL\n"
In the Tertiary file X-Poedit-KeywordsList == "pxEt;pxLt\n"
These keywords are updated.
It get me nowhere.

See locales/*templates*

In main:
"X-Poedit-KeywordsList: _;pxL;_d;pxDt;_t;pxLt\n"
In ico:
"X-Poedit-KeywordsList: pxE;pxEt\n"

The inconvience is Poedit won't update Keywords after updating po-file from
pot-file, I'm used to editing po-file with Notepad to add new Keywords.

Hum, it seem to work on my side (linux, poedit 1.4.6).
> Catalog -> setting -> keywords tab

Anyway, I think I will create a script to merge the current po into main and
ico. I want to save the maximum translation work as possible. I just don't have
any time for the moment.

This issue ought to be closed now.
I post updates in the forum:

How about merging i915 & i960 into "Translation issues" in case something turns
up?
