Video App Nextcloud Talk #9579

It would be great if the Nextcloud Talk App also becomes available for video calls (as location) in cal.com.

Hi @sagarsingh23, thank you for your work. My intention for this feature request was that I was fully committed to Nextcloud at my company. So, for example, we use Nextcloud Talk instead of Google Meet. I was already able to link cal.com to my Nextcloud calendars via the CalDav app. Now it would be great if when a customer selects an appointment, a Nextcloud Talk chat link is generated. By default a Cal Video link is used. So to your question, if I understand this correctly, yes. :smiley:

Hi @sagarsingh23, thank you for your work. My intention for this feature request was that I was fully committed to Nextcloud at my company. @handkerchief333 As of now, I have created Nextcloud Talk in the app store; now we are able to install it, and it is available in location as well when creating an event. Now the thing you want is that when creating an event or appointment, if i am referencing this both correctly, a link should automatically generate there when selecting Next Cloud Talk in location.

I will draft a pull request in accordance with the changes that I have made so far.

The point is, without this automatic link generation for a registered appointment, we would have to manually generate a link to a Nextcloud Talk chat and then send it in a separate email to the customer.

The requirement is simply this: Once a customer registers for an appointment, a Nextcloud Talk Chat link is automatically generated for that appointment through our Nextcloud platform and attached to that appointment. So we and the customer already have the link which we can use on that appointment.

Sorry if I would repeat myself, I just want to avoid any misunderstandings. I am not familiar with the technical background of cal.com.

@akshayjoshi892 @kesh-007 Sorry, I'm not the one responsible for this issue. I simply expressed a wish for this function. Unfortunately, I cannot help with the development technically. But maybe @sagarsingh23 can help.
