The objectives of the Board will be two-fold. First, to have a discussion at the executive level about the most effective use and integration of open source tools into the GC to help advance our digital goals. Second, to help identify and resolve the most significant barriers to using open source tools (eg. procurement, cultural, and infrastructure challenges).

Ce Conseil compte deux principaux objectifs. Premièrement, il sert à tenir une discussion au niveau de la direction quant à l'utilisation et à l'intégration les plus efficaces des outils à source ouverte au sein du GC afin d’appuyer l’atteinte de nos objectifs en matière de numérique. Deuxièmement, il nous aidera à identifier et à résoudre les obstacles les plus importants à l'utilisation d'outils à source ouverte (p. ex., problèmes en matière d'approvisionnement, de culture et d'infrastructure).
