Our version of .sphinx/_templates/footer.html (taken from Furo) contains an opld reference to master_doc. This is is flagged by incl. language checks (in repos that check all content). Given that master_doc has long been renamed to root_doc in upstream Sphinx (see https://github.com/sphinx-doc/sphinx/issues/8326), we can just rename it, too.
