'last modified' times are reset and synchronized to time of update when CATMAID is updated to a new version #1541

For example, 'last used' times for most annotations, and 'last modified' times for treenodes. Perserving the times and dates that indicate when an user modified it or created it seems more informative and useful?

You are right, these time stamps should not change. I fail to see this happening though in the current release. If I open the Neuron Navigator and look at all annotations, I see their "last used" time: they are all different and reach back multiple years. And selecting random treenodes show the same for their 'last modified' time: most are different and go back in time a lot. If I understand you correctly, these time stamps are the same for you, namely the time of the last update? I checked both the FAFB and the L1 instances.

Interesting. The neuron (Name: KCy 11587 NS, Skeleton ID: 3023434) I was looking at happens to have this phenomenon, perhaps due to the split/merge actions on release day? If you look at this particular neuron, time stamps of all its annotations are synchronized to a time yesterday. Same for all treenodes of this neuron as well.
