From HI group (Sasha), for the good runs values
In an analysis, we use the JSON files from the #85. They already contain information on the run and luminosity section numbers. The tables (referred above) contain instead all the runs and lumis, not only good ones. I.e. if we look at the xls file for 2010 data, we see in row 9 for example:
Run Lumi Sections Comments 152785 66 357 Scalers stop at LS 299
at the same time the JSON file Cert_150436-152957_HI7TeV_StreamExpress_Collisions10_JSON_v2.txt has
"152785": [[66, 299]]
In other words if one take the xls file and take into account the comments column (which basically say when something was not working), one gets the JSON file. So they look to be consistent with each other, but I am not sure if the xls file is really needed for the analysis to be performed...
The question remains on the luminosity values (in separate tab on the table for each run).
NB, brilcalc gives results for 2011 HI runs but not for 2010 run. Re-confirm and point to the run-specific tabs in the tables (units?)
(from #72) The luminosity is documented in
https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CMS/HIData2010RunInformation#Luminosity_Information has an excel table HIData2010_Luminosity.xls
https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CMS/HIData2011RunInformation has a spreadsheet HIData2011_Luminosity-1.xls
[x] confirm with the HI group that these are the correct tables
