Map pick/ hero pick / server selection determination #9

Each of these items are hotly contested by different teams and changes as the meta moves and team preference.

My suggestion is that home team picks map and server, away team picks hero first. This rotates for every game after the first until the series is over.

Keeps it simple, straight forward and predicatable. No confusion on swapping or loser deciding which option they want later, keeps the series moving forward. Is adaptable into longer play off matches. It is different than HGC but the simpler solution probably better for this style league.

No matter which way we go here, we need to add the word server with map. There were at least 2 games this season where we got complaints about the server...or just enforce that server must be central. I'm good with either honestly, we just need some verbiage added about it.

Chair League has always said home team hosts. Says it in the emails and on the match page itself.

The changes here would be:

It also ties sever selection into it, which has been very important. For example, my ping to central is 120-140 usually and very noticeable compared to my 60-80 I get on the west coast server.

It also designates how maps and heroes are picked moving through a series. An example of an alternative for discussion purposes is that HGC has a map ban phase added and they give the losing team choice of map vs first pick.

Loser picking whether or not to pick map or pick first seems unlikely for this first iteration. There's a lot of work on the website that would need to go into making that happen. Switching who picks first overall is a small change

The rules should mention something specifically about "server selection" as well, as the term "hosting" can be interpreted as only meaning "creating and managing the lobby."
