It feels that rather than typing X PHONE to look at CartoFunge while the map is open, many playerrs will end up typing X MAP. Right now Ada simply says she doesn't see any such thing (see transcript here). I think this is because the app is privately-named and the only token pointing to is is in the OS tables.
This might just be a nice thing in general to allow phone apps that are not currently running to just be checked through trying to examine them and not require the player to tap back and forth, and it will more match a modern phone experience.
