A extension to display stock quotes in GNOME Shell Panel
stocks-extension integrates stock quotes to your GNOME Shell Panel =)
Download a release and put the content into ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/stocks@infinicode.de
(you need to create a directory).
Clone the repo and run make install
Install the package (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gnome-shell-extension-stocks-extension/) e.g. by using yay:
yay -S gnome-shell-extension-stocks-extension
Data is cached for 10 seconds and will reload automatically, click refresh to force a fresh pull immediately. Currently, two provider are supported:
To add stocks you need the provider related symbol / identifier. You should be able to get them from yahoo finance or eastmony.com pages.
dbus-run-session -- gnome-shell --nested --wayland
