UC Enhancement - Review attempt to re-open review process

A reviewer wants to change their review decision in the current cycle. What features can we implement to make this possible?

• Solution Idea: A new attempt on the closed review process that could be used to re-open it, so the review decision can be made again.
• Solution idea: User manually inserts the duplicate review process.
  • Risks: Comment doc doesn't update, review cycle procedures may not look at the new attempt/decision. Any down-stream processes may only look at the 1st review process.

UC Folder-Process Tab: The review process status does not change when a new attempt is made(after the initial attempt).

I'm not sure if this is an actual bug and might just need to change for UC folders.

Notes from convo w/ customers:

• This happened because the reviewer previously rejected the process, then went back to add their approval.
• Ideally there would have been another review cycle for the user to approve; not sure why that wasn't an option here.
• Staff is asking if we can prevent users from editing a closed process.

We are meeting with ROW stakeholders to review/prioritize next Thursday 6/8.

Solution Idea: Create new process attempt that allows the user to re-open the process and save a new determination. Something like "Update determination - approved with conditions"

I'm also curious what Raj thinks on this one.

DTS-AMANDA Solution Conversation 6/18/24

Idea 1: Create a folder process to allow a user to re-open a specific process RSN

Idea 2: Create a new process attempt "Reopen" and add to all UC review processes. This would re-open the process so the new attempt can be saved.

• This is more work, but makes more logical sense to users. We'll need to figure a solution for how the MCR might look if it's pulling in outdated rejection comments.
• This should probably include some type of notification to the case manager so they're aware a determination was changed. This could be an email or a folder comment. The comment would be assigned to who so they can see it on their task list.
• Consider what will happen when users mis-use the feature, or use it on accident. Perhaps force the user to insert an attempt comment explaining why they overrode their determination.

Followup w/ Stakeholder:

• [ ] Ask if the notification should be email or task list based
• [ ] Ask if the system comment should go on folder comment tab or process comment or both?
• [ ] Get approval for this solution
• [ ] What folder processes should have this feature added?

• The UC folder uses a common code; so we'd only need to update one procedure and probably a lookup table
• We'd need to add the attempt type to all of the processes Re-Open
• Testing will be a big lift for the UC team
