Document & Fix Bugs for DS Expiration Date Scenarios (RB) (Dependent on 16894)

Document the various scenarios so we can test them and update any that are causing DS expiration/status bugs.

1. When an (approved; TCP excluded) inspection is scheduled the BP or child permits, the system updates the expiration date on the entire family/tree of the BP.
   • Do not update the DS expiration date if the folder status is not Active.
2. When an expired BP permit is extended/re-activated, the system updates the status and expiration of the entire family of folders.
   • Do not update the DS expiration date if the folder status is not Active.

Next Steps:

• [ ] Document all scenarios in AMANDA that update the DS status or expiration date
• [ ] Determine if any of the scenarios are causing issues
• [ ] Fix the issues

Update

• Kim did a query recently and found at least 700 DS permits with an expiration date without an issuance date.
• We need to figure out why.

Kim thinks it is caused by the auto-creation of the DS folder when the BP is created. We may need to update the procedure that creates the DS permit to stop copying the expiration date.

• ROW is asking for an update.
• We haven't moved much on this since last September
• There are procedures/features built on other (DSD) folders that are probably updating the expiration date and folder status.
• Idea: Ask Jenice to pull logs for specific cases that have the bug, to help us debug

Scenarios:

1. Has not been issued, but an expiration date exists This is the one happening most frequently.
2. Status is Expired, but expiration date is in the future (2020-026668 DS)
3. Status is Active, but expiration date is in the past.
