Hello, Andrew and Diana. I just submitted a DTS request for support. Attached is a short description of the steps I need help with to update the ASMP Street Network Table in the Knack website. I am still in the process of creating the updated Street Network Table and will provide that separately when it is ready. We have until July 7th for the update to go live, so this should be sufficient time.
I also mentioned in the request that it might be beneficial to have support reviewing/editing some of the Street Network attributes before it gets published to the Knack site. This is completely dependent upon whether you all can provide support this month in advance of the posting date (July 7th). I plan to do this myself but there may be an opportunity/benefit of having someone QAQC. Let me know what your availability is like and we can just start by touching base on what I am planning to do this month to update the network attributes. If not, that’s ok too.
City of Austin Roads (proposed amendments as of July 7, 2023)
The following table includes roads that are within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Austin and is used to identify right of way dedication requirements needed to accommodate future roadway conditions (referred to as Dedication of Right of Way in the Land Development Code).
If the roadway you are looking for is not in the list below it may be outside of the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Austin or in the TxDOT Roads table. For more information return to the Home tab. To view this list and the full Street Network Table in a map, click here
Click column "Name" or "Details" to see individual street segment requirements.

Hi Cole, I know you're in a meeting, but if you're free at 4:30 pm to do a real quick sync. I've added that new tab you wanted on the "ASMP" site (included the screen shot above)
Cole replied
I just ended my meeting, above looks great, I just have to work on the table
I said
I just made text on the page white for now until you get the table, so it just says "Under Construction"

Hello, Diana. I have completed the Street Network amendments and have attached the updated table to be included in the Amended Street Network tab in Knack.
Question, do all of the "
" values need to be replaced with empty quotes or will they show up as blanks? I don't remember. Also, can you upload this tomorrow or Tuesday morning? We're hopefully publishing everything on the 5th and sending out notification. Let me know if you can't.
Thank you!

Hey, I've imported things, can you review the page: Amended Street Network
he replied
Will do, thanks!

Good morning, Diana. I was just checking the Amended Street Network table and found a few things we need to fix.
- Several fields are showing values as 0 instead of the actual text value. I checked the original table I sent you and the text was included, so something must have happened in your version.
- The records should be sorted using the Sort Order field (Ascending) so that the Segment Limits are in order, for example:
Street Limits |
---|
DARTMOUTH AVE TO MORROW ST MORROW ST TO AGGIE LN AGGIE LN TO RICHCREEK RD RICHCREEK RD TO PASADENA DR
- On the Amended Street Network tab, change "July 7, 2023" to "September 19, 2023" Otherwise I think that's it. Thanks again for your support!

Hey Cole, just looking at your ASMP spreadsheet. Is the "Priority Network" supposed to be a "text string" or a "number/integer". I checked my data table and it's a number, so that's probably the reason.. but wanted to get clarification.
he replied
It and several others are text strings
I said
I'm gonna review what I had previously and compare it against this new table I created and then try to reimport the information..
he said
here's the original spreadsheet

Hey Cole, I think I fixed the issue. My field types weren't the same as what I had in the system before. Here's your spot check from your screen shot of "Grover Ave": https://atd.knack.com/asmp#amended-street-network/view-amended-street-names-proposed/64f2441e321b100039553be0/
I'm see that the fields that were originally "0" are filled in correctly.
He replied
Thanks, Diana. That looks great. The last thing will be to sort based on the Sort Order field (instead of the Segment Limits field). Thanks!
I just changed it, can you check if it looks alright?
He replied
it's beautiful! so that's pretty much it until Council adopts it. Hopefully no changes will need to be made to the table and it can just be swapped out for the official Street Network tab.

We are amending the ASMP Street Network Table and the online database in Knack will need to be replaced. I'll provide the updated table to DTS for it to be swapped out.
I could possibly use some additional help reviewing the Street Network attributes, such as the existing bicycle facilities type, but would need to discuss with you more. I previously worked with Alan on these things.

The Knack website needs to be updated by July 7th, the day Council backup is posted. After adoption, potentially July 20th, the website will need to be revised to reflect that the amendments are no longer draft.
