We had the Transfer of ownership form created to keep track once we give materials to a contractor and vise versa. However our Inventory personnel have not been able to use the form because of the time it takes to fill it out. I am trying to streamline this process for our Inventory personnel only by having a button or check box they could click once they are in their Inventory pick ticket screen that would auto generate a Transfer of ownership form and log. Where after clicking the button saying they want to generate the form they would only have to select the contractor the material was given to and the location it is being stored at.
Our Inventory team will be able to create the transfer of ownership forms and logs more efficiently and effectively. Giving them time to focus on other aspects of their duties and not spend so much time on the transfer of ownership.
We currently are not using any work arounds, the form is too time consuming for the Inventory Planners to generate so they are not doing it.
In the past we had a Signal tech creating the form but with the volume of field work needing to be done they are not able to create the form anymore.
I have thought of having the planners scan us a copy of their pick ticket after the Items have been issued and either attaching that PDF to the Work order or creating a transfer of ownership form from there but currently don't have the bandwidth to get that accomplished.
