CTM SN: AMANDA Extremely Slow & Kicking Users Out INC0306610 #12766

Beginning 6/29/23 (1 week ago) The ROW permitting user group at the PDC has been reporting extreme system slowness. Now it is also kicking users off of the system. Some users got a java null error (no screenshots), another user got the error in the attached screenshot.

Hello Matt & Wendy,

I hope you're both doing well. I'm writing regarding a request I made on July 11th (details pasted below) for an infrastructure inspection due to extreme software slowness that is only effecting a specific area at the PDC building. Unfortunately the resolution provided didn't resolve the issue and this problem continues to be a daily work stoppage. We still believe a physical inspection needs to be performed ASAP. Can you please advise the best next step?

Request Details:

Description: We need CTM to perform an infrastructure inspection at the PDC, 4th floor, where TPW-ROW management sits. This group has been experiencing AMANDA system performance issues for nearly a year. We've checked the database for issues, checked the hardware, and done a ton of analysis to fix this issue. We're down to needing an infrastructure inspection. This is a cross-functional team working on this issue between TPW and CTM. Please include all on communications: Tracy Linder, Paloma-Amayo-Ryan, Scott Reedy, Diana Martin, Nadin Nader, Matthew.young@unisys.com, George Shirai, and Deanna Davidson. --- INC0306610 is the ticket for the slowness. Resolved by: Matt Molina Resolution: Kyle computer had the VPN client NetMotion active. By default, the VPN client is active and its recommended that any COA staff member that is connected via a enterprise wired connection should not have their VPN client on. Kyle turned off VPN client and will inform this co workers who are experiencing the same issues.
