@amenity @JaceDeloney let's do this discovery meeting together. :)
The due date for a discovery meeting is 3/13/2020

Hi Joseph,
I wanted to follow up with you and let you know that we haven't forgotten about your request for a parking occupancy data management solution... We're simply too swamped and shorthanded at the moment to consider new applications.
We will schedule an intake meeting (same format as the one Jace and I had with your team about the upcoming Dockless Operations App) as soon as we have more bandwidth.
Hope y'all are hanging in there. I know Parking is being leaned on heavily these days for ATD's COVID-19 response. As always, don't hesitate to let us know if you need anything.
Best, Amenity
Whoa — this certainly fell off my radar. 😬
@JaceDeloney @moorerst — have either of you heard anything about this request lately?
@johnclary @moorerst - would this be a feature in the PE Reporting Portal?
i think it's fair to say that we see the parking inventory data migration as a blocker to this work. i wonder if a GIS collector app would solve most of this need. we definitely need to scope it but i'm hopeful we could get it done with Jaime's help and the new GIS analyst on Joseph's team.
@johnclary - thanks. Should @moorerst scope?
yes, please! :)
@moorerst — here ya go! 😎
@moorerst - please check in with Joseph to see if this is still a need and, if so, what priority is.
8/27 - sent email to Joseph to determine if this is still needed and if so what is the priority.
9/2 - per email from Joseph You can go ahead and put this on hold until we have staff to complete the scope, but we do still need a solution for this in the future, as we are going to be asked to conduct more parking surveys and we need an efficient way to complete them.
Since a solution is still needed I will schedule a scoping meeting

Other / Not Sure
Outdated and manual process for parking occupancy data collection. This causes extreme administrative waste, taking 3x the amount of time to complete a parking survey. Manual processes also present more opportunity for transpose errors. Data is being collected in the field and then transposed onto an excel spread sheet.
The ability to have a custom back office to create data entry for parking surveys that a data collection team can enter into a digital tablet which is automatically linked to an analysis form that can generate automatic reports including spatial analysis and map view.
When we reduce the time it takes to complete a parking survey, which currently takes: 4 days to create map for surveys for data collection 6 days for actual data collection 7 days+ to input data into excel sheets for analysis Total = 2 weeks 3-days, if not more since we have only one person that makes the maps and inputs data.
Parking Enterprise division staff, Ryan Royal, David Bracken and parking staff conducting data collection.

An efficient process that will help ATD staff make better curb management decision in a more reasonable time frame with more accurate results. This coordinated process will give more accurate results both visual/spatial but technical. It will help standardize parking studies taken by ATD .
