Maximo, Enhancement: Maximo on a GIS map #14638

OCE is requesting to revive the GIS-Maximo map PWD/SBO used to use. It is currently updating every 24 hours. OCE would like to add layers to this map. DTS advised would start conversations with the GIS team for guidance.

Catching up on documenting this issue. Here is a recap so far:

Wednesday, 2024 01-31 We had a large stakeholder meeting with employees from DTS Geo, DTS Soft. Eng., CTM, and Maximo to discuss the possibility and steps that might go into automating a process to bring Maximo data to ArcGIS Online. The short term solution was to have Maximo send an email with an attachment (.csv) to a new email address. The email would then be extracted and loaded into Amazon Web Service S3. FME is able to connect to S3, so it would then connect to the attachment, format it, and publish it to ArcGIS Online.

Wednesday, 2024 03-13 Frank, Andrew, and I met just the three of us to review progress. Frank got the email to S3 component completed and Andrew started working on the FME component. Andrew quickly realized there was a hurdle with publishing the working FME desktop process to FME server for automation, but we will continue to research this.

Wednesday, 2024-03-19 We met again with the larger stakeholder group to present our work so far. We are still working on the FME Server hurdle, but we will continue to research.
