Spike: Refreshing PowerBI Paginated Report in real time

Outstanding Action Items

• [x] For the PowerBI Paginated Report to work for the users, these reports would need to be updated in real time (currently set to refresh hourly).

Background:

• Built & generate the PBI Paginated Report with the PBI Report Builder
• Chrispin created a PDF Report page where the the report is embedded and added menu navigation

• Prototype is functional and displays all Reg Doc data that is not currently missing

With the number of current Approved Regulations, we found 4 min refresh times to be the sweet spot for Power Automate to prevent refresh failures. For Drafted Regulations we may be able to do 1 min refresh times with the limited amount of records needing to refresh.

Encoded URLs are currently setup for each record, both their Drafted & Approved documents

Reports can be accessed from the Traffic Regulations menu > Search for PDF Report or Directly from the Advanced Search > Regulation Document Details page via its button

• Approved regulation paginated report is refreshing on a 4 minute interval
• Draft regulation paginated report is refreshing on a 1 minute interval (which feels real time during user testing)
• This is complete!
