AMD Communications team would like the ability to cancel work orders #15246

Describe the problem.

I would like the ability to cancel work orders.

Describe the outcome you'd like to see when this feature is implemented.

When duplicate work orders are accidentally created, I don't want to have to put information in the work order to get it closed. I would like to be able to cancel the duplicate request.

Describe any workarounds you currently have in place or alternative solutions you've considered.

Currently have to enter information into the Completed Work, Inventory, and Time Log field to close out a work order.

Synced with Harrell and found out why this is an issue. Decided that this needs to be a discussion with Billy, Brian G, Harrell, and Henry/Brian C because this feature would probably be useful to all the work groups.
Discussed that we will need to set rules restricting work order cancellations if there is active inventory on the work order. Need to discuss other parameters.

Need to do this in test

[x] Create button on Communication Work Order Details page to Cancel
- Add Supervisor Comment field on the form for the supervisor to give reasonings why it's cancelled
[x] Add record rules that update the CANCELLED field to 1 IF
- COUNT_TIME_LOGS is 0
- Count Completed Work is 0
- Count Inventory Transactions is 0

FYI there's a ghost duplicate page for cancel work order page which got deleted. I'm not sure what issue number was involved.

Added 7 page rules to the cancel work order field:

Show message: WARNING: This work order contains records for time logs, completed work, and/or inventory transactions and cannot be cancelled.
- COUNT_TIME_LOGS is greater than 0
- Count Completed Work is greater than 0
- Count Inventory Transactions is greater than 0
Show message: WARNING: This work order will be cancelled. This cannot be undone.
- COUNT_TIME_LOGS is 0 AND Count Completed Work is 0 AND Count Inventory Transactions is 0
Hide view if
- COUNT_TIME_LOGS is greater than 0
- Count Completed Work is greater than 0
- Count Inventory Transactions is greater than 0

Also would be good to ask AMD if they ever made an issue for removing the cancel work order button? I suspect the cancel work order existed but was removed at some point.

I tested the cancelled function and it's working perfectly! The only thing additional feature I'm thinking is hiding the menu of buttons once a work order has been cancelled.

And I'll ask them if it existed previously during todays sprint review!
