This project seeks to deliver a reporting dashboard that enables mobility project managers to evaluate the safety impacts of completed projects. The end product is a PowerBI dashboard that estimates the crash reduction effects of a given mobility project.

A proof of concept has already been implemented in PowerBI by the Vision Zero team for the core stakeholder, Active Transportation & Street Design. The main scope of work for this project entails:

Establishing an automated process which associates Vision Zero crash data with Moped component geographies. This requires geospatial data via a tool like FME or Python.
Automating the flow of this data ☝️ into PowerBI
Creating a PowerBI dashboard, based on the existing prototype, that allows users to explore their projects' safety impacts on-demand

Nathan and Joel both expressed an interest in moving this forward. We are going to regroup on October 7th to check on on what work is needed. Once we have a clearer sense of what's needed from DTS, we can discuss priority + resourcing.

During our VZ prioritization meeting on Friday, Joel let us know that this project is their highest near term priority. I'm starting to scope issues with Charlie and hope to have work assigned during the upcoming sprint.
