We want the Living Streets PowerBI dashboard to update automatically, like every week or so.

Describe the outcome you'd like to see when this feature is implemented.

Dashboard users will have the most up to date information. It would also eliminate the repetitive task of manually downloading and updating the information from knack for living streets staff

Describe any workarounds you currently have in place or alternative solutions you've considered.

We now manually have to export the data and update the spreadsheet the powerBI model is pulling from

3/27 Refinement

This will be a priority after we've done the updates for Statuses and Renewals. Once that is done we can create an internal dataset in EDP that he can link to PowerBI

Steps

• On the Knack side we create an API
• Create API in Socrata
• Devs create an ETL
• Connect ETL to PowerBI
  • There's a code in the dataset that allows for a odata feed connection

Publishing Data

• Public - metadata and documentation, we'll need to hide PII info
• Internal - will be available for anyone in the city, get more clarity on PII
• Private - Just for LS staff
