We want to think through an option for residents to digital collect signatures for the living streets program activations. We are not 100% sure we want to go this route because collecting signatures in person helps applicants meet their neighbors, but is also inconvenient to some people who have to work a lot or live in a neighborhood where people do not answer their doors

Describe the outcome you'd like to see when this feature is implemented.

It will be easier for applicants to collect signatures for Living Streets Program activations

Describe any workarounds you currently have in place or alternative solutions you've considered.

residents must collect wet signatures or self organize collecting digital signatures with no help from living streets staff

Knack has the ability to do e-signatures, but they are not legally binding,

There's a possibility to do this with formstack - RPP is actively doing this, see documentation. This would allow the Living Streets more flexibility.

Note: LS will probably want to this to be integrated if there's an external form.

Based on the use case where residents need to meet their neighbors and get a wet signature, it makes sense not to build out this feature. While possible, it's not legally binding and could present accessibility issues. We'll consider this an icebox issue.
