What application are you using?

Office 365 (Teams, Sharepoint, etc.)

Describe the problem.

My Teams permissions will not let me create a new Team. I get a I get a "you don't have permission to create a team" message.

How soon do you need this?

Soon — Within a week

Is there anything else we should know?

I need to create a new Teams channel for a project I am working on.

no response from Chad
talked to Hao L.: one reason could be the user has created the allowed 250 M365 groups (via Planner board, Teams, SP sites), but this is unlikely the case
put in an SN ticket with the ESA team INC0370759
let requester know via Teams that we are working on this with CTM

heard back from Chad: "From what i see she has all the same default org wide settings that all users have. It may be a teams application issue. can she open teams on the web. teams.microsoft.com can she create a Team there? She may need a reboot and to re sign in. have her try that and let me know"
reaching out to Jewelee via Teams to ask her to try these steps

@KaroEngstrom we could have Jewelee work with the Tech Services team to uninstall and reinstall Teams as another option?

@dianamartin We can do that if none of these work out; Chad seemed hopeful that it's just a glitch. I'll report back as soon as I head from her.

checked in on requested via Teams and they responded: "Yes, I was able to trouble shoot yesterday, thank you so much! It required checking for updates, then doing a shutdown, reboot, re-login process but it finally worked. Thank you so much for your help!"
