In Progress
We're building an integration between Austin Water's conservation planning and policy database and TPW's enterprise case management system to automate what is now a time-consuming, redundant part of the emergency Right-of-Way permit review process.
Background
TPW's Right-of-Way Management (ROW) group is responsible for reviewing and permitting all activities in the city's right-of-way. One such activity is emergency permits for The Austin Water Department (AW), representing about 4,000 permits annually. Each of these permits requires AW to manually apply for a ROW permit, essentially duplicating the information already contained in their system. Upon ROW's application review, AW has already performed the work,rk, making the permitting review largely a repetitive administrative process that is a great candidate for integration and workflow automation.
TPW will learn the individual department workflows, identify an integration and automation workflow, create developer documentation, manage all aspects of implementing the integration and automation, and share best practices for maintaining the integration.
