Hi, love the Austin mobility data. I noticed what may be a bug in the explorer. When I select for Origins it labels the trip count as being of "trips terminated" and vice versa. Maybe they got swapped, screenshot attached.

From mateoclarke on 2019-01-18:

That's for the feedback John!

It's confusing, and we struggled with the best way to describe it. But when you have "Destinations" selected like you do in the screenshot, you are seeing the answer to:

For trips that started inside the drawn box, where did those trips end?

So the blue label at the bottom tells you the total number of trips that started inside your box. And if you click any of the cells, you'll see a purple label that says how many trips ended in the selected cell and what percentage of the total trips (from the blue label) that ended in that hexagon cell (see example below). Each hexagon's height represents the number of times a trip ended inside that hexagon, put differently, the number of times it was the "Destination" of a trip.

And when you flip it, and have Origins selected, you are asking:

For trips that ended in the drawn box, where did does trips start?

In that case, each hexagon's height represents the count of trips that had their "Origin" inside that hexagon.
