[URGENT] Amber LED DC inventory item unit cost not populating

Describe the problem.

We entered a new item, amber LED DC 550-88-440014 in data tracker. We did enter the re-stock unit cost but the information did not create a new unit cost. When it was time to issue the item, it issued it at zero cost. We need a cost to be associated when we issue this item. We also recieved red led dc 550-88-440013 at the same time as the amber and this one does show to have a new unit cost. Did we do something incorrect or why did we not get a new unit cost for the amber LED cost

Is there anything else we should know?

We need this fixed as soon as possible as this affects financials. thanks

• Messaged Cesar on 6/4 letting him know that I was OOO yesterday and could address this tomorrow if that was an okay timeline. He was fine with that!
• Looked into the issue today and compared the Amber LED DC inventory item to the Red LED DC item. The amber LED DC is the one having issues with the unit costs and red LED DC updated correctly.
• Checked the Finance and Purchasing inventory records for the newly created items and they look the same. There is no unit cost identified on the finance side for either of these inventory items.
• Compared inventory_item_unit_costs records
  • Red LED DC unit cost record:
  • Amber LED DC unit cost record:
• Noticed that the Previous On-Hand Quantity and Previous Unit Cost is blank for Amber LEDs
  • Populated these fields to reflect exactly what was populated in Data Tracker for the Red LED record
• Compared inventory_item records
  • Red LED DC
  • Amber LED DC
• Noticed again that the Previous Unit Cost and Previous Quantity On-Hand were blank. Additionally the Unit Cost was blank
• It looks like both inventory items were added to the Finance and Purchasing app correctly, but for some reason the Unit Cost, Previous Unit Cost and Previous Quantity On-Hand were blank for the Amber Leds. Populating these field to mirror the Red Leds to see if this addresses the issue
  • Populated these fields to reflect exactly what was populated in Data Tracker for the Red LED record
• Checked the inventory item and the unit cost is populated as expected!

  Hey Cesar! I was troubleshooting this for a while, but you created the amber LED and the red LED exactly the same way so I have no idea why the amber LED unit cost didn't populate as expected! I took a bunch of notes and ultimately just made edits on the backend so the records for the amber LED has the same fields populated as the red LED. Once doing that, the unit cost populated correctly!
