Update Signal Engineering areas and corridors

Brian G called this morning letting me know that there are changes needed for the Signal Engineering areas and corridor names. We took a look at his spreadsheets and the request includes:

Signal Engineering Area:

• Update areas to the following options:
  • Northeast
  • Northwest
  • Central
  • South
• each area will include 300-320 signals

Corridor Retiming Zones (corridor_retiming_zone)

• Renaming corridors and creating some new corridors (Brian has populated the spreadsheet with these changes)

Corridor

• Populating the corridor for some of the signals missing this information (Brian has populated the spreadsheet with these changes)

To address Brian's request, we'll need geo and apps team to update different components.

Geo

• The signal engineering areas in Data Tracker are populated by the TRANSPORTATION_signal_engineer_areas GIS layer.
• We will need the geo team to update the polygons in this layer as requested on the Traffic_Signals_and_Pedestrian_Signals_20240614.xlsx spreadsheet and these should automatically update in Data Tracker once we make this change
• Let Andrew know about the request and he's planning on scoping it out to see what they may be able to do on their end. Once they make proposed updates, we can schedule a sync with Brian to confirm the details.

Apps

• Import new corridors and corridor_retiming_zone identified in Brian's spreadsheet into the signals object
• Before doing this, we need to update the corridor object with the new options requested by Brian and after that update the corridor_retiming_zone object after with the new options
