Hi there,

I am a GIS Analyst on the Sidewalks & Urban Trails team and we need to make some large calculations in the MAINT sidewalks layer that is joined to another dataset. With the large size of the edits we are making + the join, my laptop through the VPN is not sufficient; we need more computing power to make these edits.

A few options I have heard from other GIS folks: a local machine in the office to remote into, VDI, Citrix, some kind of virtual machine. Feel free to reach out to me with questions.

user sent me a chat: Hi Matt, hope all is well! The DTS team mentioned to me y'all might have some extra towers floating around? I submitted a ticket last week to find a solution to slow speeds while using GIS (19337). We only need a fast machine from time to time, so we are fine to share it with others or borrow it. Ideally we would use something already existing so we don't have to buy a new machine for our team. Any ideas?

Tried to setup a precision workstation the one which was sitting below, but the power doesn't turn on and Popps up a sound. informed craig to prep a machine as we have one in ben white. forwarding this to @Craigjacobs-ATX
