LaunchIT - Response to Portal Questions.pdf
Signed in customers can see process deficiencies, if requested. They have done this for another city.
Yes, compatible w/ Geocortex. They've done that integration w/ another city already.
They can do a permit wizard, and did it for San Jose.
They have done an integration w/ Chase payments for a different city, and have the framework ready for COA if needed.
Developers will need to know Angler JS to work within this framework. COA will have full access to source code. Vendors will have access to source code, as given by COA admins. (If unisys knows Angler JS, they can still do development.)
LIT already created COA specific user guides, and have started adding user content to youtube.
LIT needs a demo of self-assignment to be able to answer if they'll be able to meet that need.
LIT's portal can be ADA compliant; they did that with Michigan.
Yes to developer documentation.
John's Questions:
• Is the LIT solution ADA-compliant, specifically, WCAG 2.0? The Meraki solution says it’s ADA compliant, but it’s impossible to evaluate with access to the application. • Does the solution support multiple-languages? • Will COA (or a third-party) have access/permission to modify the application source code? • Can the vendor provide developer documentation about the solution, for the purposes of maintenance? • What web framework does the application use? Does CTM have staff that are capable of supporting/developing in this framework if needed? • How hard is it to make changes to the permit workflows? Does the solution offer an administrative user interface that will let CTM administrators configure the portal without writing code? • In terms of the technical architecture, how tightly coupled is this solution to the AMANDA application. E.g., does it read/write directly to the AMADA database, a replica, or does it integrate with AMANDA through some other database technology? • Will the solution be tested with any Austin residents prior to selection? • Has the Portal Subcommittee conducted resident testing in the past, which we can use as a reference for evaluating the new portal? • Has the vendor conducted resident testing? Can any of those artefacts be shared? • What is the cost and pricing structure of each solution? • Given our high level of customization in AMANDA, how confident are we that the solution will be able to be implemented on time/budget?
