Digitize Signs and Markings invoice process #3227

Automating the invoicing process in the Signs and Markings Operation app. Signs & Markings is finalizing updates for Signs & Markings materials and costs. We are doing this in the effort to automate the invoicing process that we currently have.

Describe the outcome you'd like to see when this feature is implemented.

Right now, Signs and Markings invoicing takes hours of manual effort for Cathy to complete. There are also confusion that happen regularly between Signs & Markings and Finance on the invoices because comparing the information on the invoice with the Data Tracker can be complicated. If the invoice came directly from the Data Tracker information, it would be more clear and therefore would reduce the level of effort for both Divisions. The outcome we would like to see is that this improves the efficiency of our group even more.

Describe any workarounds you currently have in place or alternative solutions you've considered.

Currently Cathy is using the work order information from Knack and uses an excel invoice that Alan Hughes created for us.

Is there anything else we should know?

If this could be our last Signs & Markings request before Diana leaves on maternity leave, that would be the goal.
