3 years ago - created a new Pro Project for Harrell: has a data view, 8.5 x 11 layout, 11 x 11 layout
- discovered the additional AMD fields for editing that I had added last year were gone. I overwrote them when I updated the data in February.
- Still had the fields in a table in Pro Project FGDB
- Looked into other ways to maintain the extra data since the AE Poles data is updated periodically with a new update
- Creating a related table in AGOL was not going to work since they need Global IDs. They would change each time I re-publish the data.
- Looked into creating a relationship class on the data in the FGDB and maintaining it there, but it would be more complicated for Harrell, plus he also has a Web App where he can edit, so that would limit all of his editing to Pro.
- Settled on adding the fields back to AE Poles data and republished the feature layer to AGOL. Wrote up some steps that will need to be followed each time we do a refresh of the AE Poles data so the AMD field updates are not lost. I will work on automating this process to make it simpler in the future.
Harrell uses a couple of Map Documents to create PDF maps for the AE Poles data.
