Kickoff Meeting:

• Advantage Program
  • maximize the value of your GIS investment
  • Assigned advisor, collaborative planning, idea incubation and innovation, access to consulting, training, and premium support services.
  • We want to identify short and long term business needs and identify ways the Esri Advantage Program can be leveraged
• Change Management
  • Pro Migration: 3 Phases to complete in a specific timeline
  • Phase 4 to officially retire ArcMap, expand capabilities for all departments with Pro
  • Helps with faster adoption, broader adoption, higher user proficiency
  • Preparing for change, managing change, reinforcing and sustaining change
  • Dealing with resistance management by integrating communications for the project
  • Working with Sponsors to help with the projects
  • Put together e-Learning Training Plans to help
  • Creation of the ArcGIS Modernization Dashboard so the executive sponsors can see how the project is coming along

GIS Platform Modernization:

• Shanon talked about the ongoing Pro Migration
• Esri Wildland Fire GIS Specialist talked to the group about her experiences since she still works in the Wildland Fire Community
• When new versions are released, Esri puts out a new video talking about all the Ideas that were implemented in that version.
• Pro Roadmap
  • Version 2.8 was just released a week ago
  • Check out the What's new in Pro 2.8 for information about what they have added
  • Spend a lot of time on performance and productivity in this release
  • Also added some new functionality

• Yellow text was just added in version 2.8

• can lookup the roadmap online and see descriptions of each
  • Workflow Manager
• working on a new version of workflow manager
• Submit, Review, Complete, Deliver (repeatable process)
• track the works location
• vision is a seamless end-to-end workflows across ArcGIS
• Web to Desktop to Mobile to Server, etc...
• new version of the Pro extension
• have been working more closely with Survey 123
• Demo using the software, was integrated with Survey 123, also showed data editing in Pro using workflow manager
• Everything updates in real-time

Real-Time GIS:

• ArcGIS Velocity (Demo was recorded)
  • Personnel tracking, resource optimization, asset and entity tracking, infrastructure protection, connected cars, etc.
  • Big challenge is dealing with the high data volume that is complex and noisy
  • End to end workflow: Ingest, Analyze, Alerts, Act/Adapt
  • Can work in real-time, near real-time, or over time
  • Product works in the Cloud (SaaS environment), so much easier then GeoEvent Server
  • Velocity will be included in the next EA starting in November
  • Connects to GeoEvent Server and GeoAnalytics Server
  • Data can come from multiple sources and multiple feeds (ArcGIS, Cloud Io Ts, Web & Messaging)
  • Separate Subscription from the rest of ArcGIS, there is no credit use. Based on throughput, analytics, etc.
  • Dedicated option is planned for CTM, AW is going to be on Advanced level (there is also standard level)
