[Feature] Inventory item images #6714

Describe the problem.

I am looking into the possibility of adding pictures to an inventory item's description. This will be an attempt at reducing incorrect inventory requests where items are being mistaken when being entered. (If Possible)

Describe the outcome you'd like to see when this feature is implemented.

ATD/AMD will have a visual representation of the material that they are requesting and therefore prevent/reduce the amount of incorrect items being requested when filling out their material requests (Digital ICF).

Describe any workarounds you currently have in place or alternative solutions you've considered.

Currently, we are aiding in the process by assisting and questioning certain requests which we deem incorrect or subject to question at the time of submission.

Is there anything else we should know?

Just a request for now, hopefully to open up a dialogue on the possibility of its implementation... Thanks again.

We discussed this with staff today and agree it would be valuable. Ray/Johnny to send a few sample images and will do the implementation. Leaving in backlog until grooming inventory issues.
